Rawhide Versus Bones

Hi All A fellow dog owner today recommended real bones (uncooked!) over rawhide. I know about the rawhide quite well (sits in their stomachs undigested etc if swallowed) but I don't know very much about real bones. I worry that they might splinter or the like? mine too! he lies on his back, back legs splayed out (just like the boy he is!) and front paws in the air all floppy! absolutely hilarious!! and snores!

there are breeders Bedford way (I live Stevenage area) although I no longer have their details as I got my pup from Wales in the end!
