beaches part 2

Hi, I did a post awhile ago on dog friendly beaches. I am planning to take paige to a beach this weekend weather permitting . I have narrowed the search down to Hayling island, which was suggested on my last post. I was wondering if anybody could suggest the best beach to go to? the West beach...

Cant say that my doodle thinks she is a cat, its more like she thinks the cat is a dog and trys to play with her :) All i can say is that puppies will be puppies and play with anyt...

Re: Red ears

Thanks for all your advice, it looks like its a trip to the vets. I am a bit annoyed at myself for maybe not doing something sooner. Paige was spayed about 5 weeks ago and if she was showing these symptoms then her ears could have been investigated while she was already GA. I am reasonably confident...

Red ears

Hi, i know doodles ears need to be plucked and paige is due to go to the groomers this week to have hers done. However at the moment she is shaking her head A LOT, her ears are red inside (prob due to the amount of shaking) and HOT. I clean them out every few days with special cleanser from the vets...

Re: Getting Ready for Puppy-Whats good and whats not?

what a good idea planning ahead, all of the above is what i would suggest. Also a good strong lead and collar, the webbing collars are quite good for puppies as they are light and can be fully adjusted while they grow.Oh and a ID tag, although Woof wont be able to go outside straight away it gets hi...

Re: wish me luck please...

Flyball and agility clubs have slightly different policys on the age to which you can start. As a general rule flyball is 1yr and agility is around 16-18months, this is to ensure that the dog has stop growing and all the joints/bones have had time to form corretly. some clubs let you join earlier an...

Re: Willow in season????

Excessive licking and frequent wees or more like little dribbles are signs that a bitch is coming into season, also the attention of males although at this stage it is very unlikly that she will allow any 'funny' business. Trust me you will know for sure when she is in season, apart from the bloodly...

Re: curly or wavy coats?

Hi and welcome. It sounds as though a minture doodle may be best suited for your Jack Russell as standard doodles can grow to be big dogs full of energy. However you know your Jack Russell best and his/her reaction to bigger dogs out on walks. Maybe you could meet up with local doodles and see how y...
