phantom pregnancy
Hi, I think paige is going through a phantom pregnancy, it is 2 months since her first season and she is due to be spayed end of sept. She has become shy/nervous around other dogs she meets in the park, she hides behind me until she is close enough to great OR if its in an open area avoids them by r...

Re: Advice please, doodle don't......
All the above sounds good. Paige goes through these moments, particularly in the morning. I moisten her food with a bit of warm water as this makes the smell of the food stronger and more appealing, sometimes she is just trying it on to see if anything better is coming. She only gets gravy as a trea...

Re: Pedigree dogs exposed
This is a weak response maybe but I have reluctantly decided that i will not go to Crufts next year - which is a great shame as I really enjoyed it last year and it had always been my "ambition" to go. Having said that what I really enjoyed were the demonstrations such as the clicker training, hear...

Re: Pedigree dogs exposed
Just watch the program after recording it last night. The whole thing was shocking, although i am sure there are some pedigree breeders out there who care for there dogs and do all the screening tests necessary. The bit that shocked me most was the 'culling' of healthly puppies becasue they didnt me...

Hertfordshire Meet Take2
Hi,
Thought would try again with organising a herts doodle meet after the failure last time
Hows the 20th of september? Shall we keep the meeting place the same at Biggleswade? or does anybody have any other suggestions?
Lets try and kick up a bit more interest than last time.

Re: October holiday, i need your advice.
Basically your dog lives in a house with someone who is registered with a pet sitting/boarding company.
look at these two sites for more information: http://www.paw-pals.co.uk/ http://www.petpals.com/

Re: October holiday, i need your advice.
As far as i am aware kennels do not take dogs younger than 6 months. Both of the other options sound good. However i would consider how much time willl be spent with Marli, such as walks for socialization and house training as all your hard work getting her to the stage she is now can easily be un d...
