Re: Toy rage...
I always find it odd why people walking their dog will throw the ball right in front of Daisy and then stand wondering why a nice black doodle has run off with their dogs ball. A woman I see in the park most days keeps insisting on doing this.

Daisy is now 20mths and sleeps in her crate every night locked in(Protection from 3 marauding cats) she has always slept in one to the point that when we are away in our motorhome she will try to get into it while its being assembled. We dont use it during the day but did for the first few months

Re: off the lead??.....

Went though a short time when she was a bit reluctant to return but now at 19-20 months she will return when called leaving other dogs etc. She will still run to other dogs and I have difficulty stopping ...

Re: Help! Dougle won't come back on the lead!
I find hiding works a treat, when hes not looking go behind a tree and call him, panic sets in they are so pleased to find you. If you want to be really nasty hide and dont call they soon realise you are not there and start hunting and sniffing you out. You will soon discover that it is actually qui...

Re: Lazy Labradoodle????
Daisy often takes herself to bed around 9pm which is a bit awkward on wednesday nights as dog training is at 8.45 so she has a bit of a late night. She rarely wakes in the night and only really gets up in the morning when we do around 7-8 although even then shes not the liveliest dog I think shes co...

Just keep going. Daisy at 18mths passed her Kennel Club Gold award last week, Only 2 dogs out of 8 passed. I'm sure you will be surprised how well behaved and trainable Rodney is compared to the others

Re: Why do breeders put new born pups in a crate?
Never used a crate before we got Daisy, but we take her away in our motorhome that is not Doodle proof so we used a crate from day 1. She sleeps in a crate in our bedroom when at home. We have never had to force her in it and often when on holiday she will try to get in the crate while we are trying...

Not got to the competition stage yet, I've had enough trouble finding a club with vacancies!. I have noticed that a lot of dogs bark as they go around the course I think its excitement,
