Well she is a mini doodle so its just a bit bigger than her height and long enough for her to stretch out and turn around with space for a food and water bowl + toys. Daisy at 8 months is still sleeping in a crate and we use a larger one if we leave her during the day. One reason is we have a motorhome and as she has destructive tendancies we dont want to leave her in that without a cage when on holiday. Personally I would keep the crate Daisy will often take her...

Don't know about running but Daisy is quite happy to come cycling, she runs along quite happily by my side on the lead and off lead away from traffic.
