Re: Advice: Kongs and Kong Paste?
i read the same in the ian dunbar book, although wondered if this would then create a pup, that would bolt down food at a rapid pace when given a bowl. So many books give different advice. Thank goodness for the forum!

Perfect. I wasn't too sure, it looks like McDonalds of the Dg world. I like the idea of giiving Fraggle fressh food. How often do you fill and leave them? I'm worried i'll under feed or over feed him.

Advice: Kongs and Kong Paste?
My scrumptious doodle, Fraggle, comes home to us in 2weeks :D and i've bought a selection of Kongs to entertain him. I'm thinking of filling them with some of his daily food to challenge and stimulate him. I'm wondering if anyone has any opinions about the Kong paste? Is it okay? Can it be given to ...

Re: disaster with a jogger ;-(
We had problems with Saffie, she would run off after another dog 500meters away. I stood there one day, shouting her name, and a lady walking her very well mannered dalmation said, "Can I give you some advice...I'ma dog trainer and you'll find that as long as she can hear you she's safe. The moment ...

Re: Naming Pets
My first pet was a gorgeous old cat called "Tiddlywinxs" who I inherited from my lovely Grandma. The random name set the bar! I then got a gorgeous Labrador cross irish Wolfhound(The spitting image of a doodle) So much so, that Saffie became Saffa-Doo became Doodle-and that kinda stuck as my nephew ...

Re: Labradoodle Puppies Dumped
It baffles me that someone would "Dump" such beautiful animals. It takes one phone call to the RSPCA to ask for help. It's makes me so angry! Thank goodness the little bundles are safe, well and have new homes to go to.

Re: 20 Days And Counting...
It's terrible isn't it, all I do is think about Fraggle! The house is empty without him already, as if it too is waiting for his arrival. I've moved furniture, made space for his crate, bought the Kongs(in various shapes and sizes). I had a birthday and wanted nothing for myself but toys, dog bolws ...

I've just looked in my diary and we're 20days and counting till Fraggle, our gorgeous little Choc F1 Labradoodle comes home to us! I've been working through the checklist of jobs...I've never been this prepared for anything in my life. Just wanted to share my excitement. I'm like a 5year old before ...

Re: Advice: Viewing Puppy for the first time?
I've read, if she is at all snappy or aggressive then not to touch the puppies. Is there anything else I should look out for in the mother?Butterfly wrote:Definately first and formost, see what the mum looks like, and how she reacts with you!xx

Advice: Viewing Puppy for the first time?
The OH and I are getting our little Puppy(Fraggle) in October and next week i'm going to visit for the first time. He'll be 3weeks old when I see him. Mum is a choc lab, dad a standard White poodle. As far as I know, Dad was a stud dog. We put our name down on a list, requesting a Choc boy if possib...

What's the best puppy feed?
Little Fraggle will be joining us in a months time and I'm preparing house and garden for his arrival. I'm just wondering what the best puppy food is? I'm assuming tha there will be some influence, based on what he has been given before.
