Murphy is 5 months now and I am already fed up of the enormous cage. Everywhere we put it, it seems to be in the way. You need to use a disinfectant that doesn't contain Ammonia, as that attracts them.

I think P@H sell a special floor cleaner that clears the smell

Speak to your vet first, but maybe try Manuka Honey (available from the supermarket - you'll gasp at the price). But it does speed up healing significantly which will get him back on his feet quicker! Our friends who are vets swear by it, and use it on their own horse whenever it picks up a scratch ...
