Re: Farts....

Thank goodness it's not just us then! Sparky stinks every night, he's ok through the day but at night it's awful. We end up with the doors and windows open and if we have company around it's really embarrasing. I changed him to James Wellbeloved hoping this would help, but there has been no real imp...

Re: Head collar or half choke???

My sister has a particularly lively cockapoo, and has recently taken a bottle of water with a sports top on it out with her, when Scooby moves ahead of her, she scooshes him on the nose or side of head, the "shock" of this is enough to catch his attention and bring him back to heel. Also works with ...

Re: How do you feed your dog/s?

I would really like to try this type of diet, but again, I'm confused as to how much my doodle should be fed at any one time.....with the dry food, measuring is easy ofcourse...can anyone advise?

Re: How do you feed your dog/s?

Gosh this is a really really interesting thread. I've been despairing recently. I have a 4.5 month old doodle who since I've had him seems to have been only "solid" in the poo department for a matter of weeks. The vet had suggested changing the food from Eukanuba and so I changed recently to James W...

Re: Off lead n recall

hi all. I'm new to dogs and curious about your whistle training. Please excuse me if this is a silly questionm but what kind of whistle are you using? is is a dog whistle or just any old whistle and then do you use different sounds for different commands? Sparky is nearly 4 months now and I have let...

Re: New to Doodles...advice please

thanks for all your advice. Our breeder only told us not to take him on extra long walks and the vet didn't give me any advice at our initial visits. He has been going up and down the stairs himself as I didn't realise, but only once at night and in the morning, all other times he's kept downstairs....

Re: New to Doodles...advice please

Interesting about the excersise. I have him out for about half an hour maybe once or twice a day, do you think this is ok? He runs for a bit with the other dogs and then watches them run. Sometimes when he gets up it's as if it's a big issue for him to lift his back legs, but I don't believe he's in...

Re: New to Doodles...advice please

Thanks guys, you make me feel better. He was quite poorly when we first got him. diorehea (sorry about spelling!), but over the past week this has finally sorted itself out. His worming should be ok as I get the stuff from the vet. As I said, I've never had a dog before and my sister's cockapoo is m...

New to Doodles...advice please

Hi All I have Sparky now 14 weeks old. Never having a dog before I'm a bit green around the edges, I read about how "mad" doodles are, but mine is not, he is quite a timid guy, easily scared. I've had him at the park since he could get out socialising and that's all going well, but he doesn't really...
