He will meet another dog that won't accept it and that will sort him, is there a daycare near you? Often the owners of doggy daycare will know dogs which will give a firm but fair telling off. Marley won't tell anyone off, he is so tolerant of every other dog he's met. My friend was looking after a ...

Re: help with biting and barking
He is pushing the boundaries and trying to be boss. Time out works, it did for marley, you have to do it all the time though for unwanted behaviour, I didn't do it as long as ten minutes, I just put him out the room for a minute then let him back in, if he did it again, he went right back out again,...

Marley was done at 9 months, he was back to normal after a couple of days. Ask the vet for sub cutaneous stitches, they stitch from inside and dont need to go back to get them out. I never noticed any difference in marley. Have wonderded since if i should have waited til he was older as he can be qu...

Re: My dog doesn't know his own strength
Please be very careful with glass doors. There has indeed been a fatality when a doodle was running into house not realising patio doors were closed and she broke her neck. An idea mite be window stickers around the dogs eye level, then they would see the glass. Glad no one was hurt x

Re: barking at other dogs when on her lead ...
Agree Bid, but I can't argue with the results, I don't use it now, I only used it initially. As another post has said its all down to our body language and how we react which gives the dog the initial reaction. If used properly then they work, and I say that because there is definitely a right way a...

Re: How many coat changes does a labradoodle have?
Marley's changes colour with the seasons! he goes from apricot to almost white and back again. His actual coat probably hasnt change for the last year but up until then it was always changing. So prob about 2 for him texture wise, but colour wise it still does change

i have the same problem with Marley, or should I say had the same problem. I had a session with the dog whisperer and the difference is phenonmenal. Okay, here is what he told me. Marley see's himself as the Alpha male, he has to protect me. I am now working on changing that so he knows that I will ...
