Re: Labradoodle Trust Donation Fee's
The website says up to a maximum £250, give the fostereq a phone or Barb, they will put your mind at rest I think it can vary due to differing vet fees the Trust has to pay xx

Re: Barking!
Marley is nervous/anxious and will bark at strangers, I call it his stranger danger barking. I was so concerned about it though because he has such a loud bark, he sounds terrifying. People laugh though because he looks like a big teddy bear, I don't think its funny as if he looked like a rotty, sta...

Re: HOW TO STOP DOODLE JUMPING UP VISITORS AND PASSERS BY!!!
Why should he stop doing it when he is getting what he wants by doing it? Ie, he gets attention. Im afraid your visitors will need to ignore him as they arent helping by fussing him. He is excited, what he needs to learn is that calm behaviour gets reward. Ignoring and reward for calm behaviour is t...

Re: Travel Sickness
It depends whether the sickness is fear or motion. Marley had motion sickness when he was a pup, we gave him a kewells sealegs tablet half hour before a journey and he was fine, they lasted about two hours before we noticed the drool. It stopped as soon as he was big enough to see out the window and...

Re: Aussie doodles cost - wow!
Nope, they are all four figures, well, with the exception of I think one breeder who doesn't charge over £900 and she doesn't ESN either. Personally, I wouldn't pay it, but each to their own.

Re: Australian doodle versus English doodle!
Marley is a F3, multigen british doodle. He is a standard, weights 38kg and is huge! He doesn't cast but does leave tumbleweed here and there. However, please please please do not buy a doodle of ANY genre on the basis that someone with allergies will not react to it. There are many reasons people r...

Re: Puppy/Junior Food Any advice?
I think we all go through this with pups. Marley was a nitemare, reality is, they will eat if they hungry. Marley now been on Acana with some wetfood topper, jw pouch, nature diet, wainrights, butchers tripe. He has itchy skin so i do watch what i feed him. Try not to stress about it, pup will eat i...

Re: Electric fence.... :(
OMG, that's shocking. I'd be looking to see if there were clear signs up warning people, my god that could have been fatal. Are they even legal? Sorry, I have no idea if there will be after effects but I'd check witht he vet just to see what they think. Hope you all okay, that must've been so scary....

Re: Behaviour with other dogs!!!!
Marley is leash reactive and I find it very rude when other owners allow their off lead dog to bounce over whilst shouting "he/she is okay", yeah, well clearly my 37kg doodle isn't so please don't invade his space because he wouldn't invade yours. It really does annoy me, off lead, Marley is a dream...

Re: Flexi Lead
I totally agree with Bid on this one, flexi's do have their uses, Marley had one for a while but after changing him to a normal lead I wish I had never used one, but you live and learn. He is so much calmer on his normal collar, I have more control over him if an off lead dog invades his space and I...

Re: Dog Fight in the street
what a nightmare for you, hope you are both okay. Another example of irresponsible owners, I've had my fill of the guy who walks his dog off lead near us, I usually cross the road to avoid it, but this morning it came right up to the edge of the road to "greet" marley - marley is leash reactive, thi...
