Re: crying in crate
Hi, i've nver used a crate purely because the first night marley was home he got so worked up in it I decided never again. he has never chewed anything, had the kitchen where he had his bed and toys etc when we were out, he slept in our room at night on his own bed only coming up when invited. How n...

Re: Leads advice and recommendations required please
I got a couple of longlines from ebay, very strommg and reasonable. We used a flexilead for marley for a longtime but realised that he walked better and was less reactive when on a normal lead. We now get his collar and leads from scrufts.co.uk. excellent quality and you can get different lengths of...

Re: LABRAPOODLES!!
No such thing as allergy free dogs no matter the breed. People can react to more than just fur. Just look at the number of doodles handed into the Trust becbuse the breeder guaranteed that little joe or jean wouldnt be allergic. Its irresponsible of any breeder to say such things.

Re: Grooming gone horribly wrong
yet another case of the groomer thinking poodle cross means shave it like a poodle! It will grow back in time. Are there any other groomers in your area? If not, then next time, print off some photos of a good doodle cut and say you want it like that, NOT a poodle, cos you've not got a poodle! Marle...

Re: Nipping puppy and young children - How to deal with it?!
Timeout is a good way, marley didnt respond to anything else, if he did it, we would say timeout and he would be put out the room for a few minutes. Always have a soft toy on hand to stuff in their mouth and we had a 'no.teeth' command when any hands were near mouths during play. We didnt say dont b...

Re: What age do labradoodles reach adulthood/full size?
Marley was 18months when he stopped growing, he is now 28inches and 37kg, been same weight since then too. He is an F3 standard. Minitures can , i believe, only be guaranteed after a few generations, there is always the chance that the rogue gene will appear, just because a lab is small doesnt guara...

Re: Tough first night with our new Doodle, Amber. Advice wel
It's important to do what's right for your family, just be consistent with her. Marley has access all areas in the house because it's his house too, but appreciate that some people don't like that idea, but consistency is the key. I remember being worried what "other" people would think if I bent th...

Re: Tough first night with our new Doodle, Amber. Advice wel
Hiya, if you really want her in the crate can you move the crate into your room? She is only a baby and you have just taken her away from all her litter mates and her mum, it is no wonder she is upset. I'm all for training but the family need sleep, you can't possibly have another night like last ni...
