Re: Still biting when over one year old!

I've known dogs who get upset when someone leaves the room but are OK if you say goodbye first. Sometimes avoiding the triggers is one of the easiest ways of dealing with these problems, they can become habit for dogs so breaking the habit can solve the problem. Our Sally used to growl at us when we...

Camping is fun, you miss out on so much if you don't stay on site.

Re: Infected again

You may want to check about regular emptying, I'm sure that someone said it wasn't advisable but I can't remember who or why!

I'm sure more bone would help, chicken legs or wings are a good source.

Re: Infected again

Poor Murphy, it isn't a pleasant problem. Does he eat much bone? Sometimes the best quality foods don't help as they have a lot less roughage, which helps the glands empty naturally. I give ours bones every couple of weeks, and they also have minced chicken carcases which I fry lightly as burgers fo...

I hope you can change the date, it would be such a pity to have the two events clashing.

Re: The Annual Labradoodle Trust Doodlefest ....

Great, everyone has started asking already as diaries are starting to get filled in. Hope not too many people away on holiday this time, it's the event of the Labradoodle year so it must be gutting to miss it.

Re: Southern Doodlefest 26 27 July 2014

What a shame they've chosen the same date, I hope this new one won't end up losing a lot of money over this, I know these things can be very expensive to organise. The LT Doodlefest has built such an enthusiastic following over the years that it is bound to draw most of the potential supporters.

The laryngitis has probably affected her bark, it should clear up soon. Good to hear she likes the cough medicine - funny girl!

So glad the results were ok, there's no reason why you shouldn't ask for additional mammograms if you are worried, particularly if you think you have felt any changes.

She could be past her main growth spurts and not feel in need of so much. Has she had her first season yet? Hormones can affect hunger.

Re: Seasonal Canine Illness

A timely warning, thank you. I hope they find the cause of this, so many dogs have been seriously ill. Woodlands seem to be the worst locations, my OH thinks it might be some kind of fungus as they are appearing at this time of year.

We've never crated, our dogs are always welcome to sleep in the bedroom, that way we are there if they need us. And they have always been fine at night.

Re: so angry with him.

I don't know much about horses, but they definitely need water, if the owner doesn't provide it he is guilty of cruelty. Foxes won't hurt a horse, or visa versa. There is something about horses and cows which seems to get dogs excited, the thrill of something larger but less agile to play with I thi...

Re: Blood spots under skin. HELP!

So sorry to hear about Florrie, she has seemed to be doing much better lately. You have both been through so much, I'm keeping everything crossed that tomorrow's results are good.
