Re: How did bonfire night go ..
No probs here, which is so nice after the annual hell we used to suffer with Cassie, our GSX. I wish someone would start making quieter fireworks, I don't want to be a killjoy and ban them but they do cause a lot of misery.

Re: Here is Leon
I'm not sure what an F1b is, his parents were both F1 Labradoodles. The people who own his mother aren't breeders, they have labradoodles themselves and like the females to have just one litter, so he was brought up indoors with various other dogs and is really well adjusted to domestic life, includ...

Re: Woohoo! I'm proud!
Congratulations, that is a brilliant result. Weight is a constant struggle for me, you'd think that all the dogwalking would keep us super slim, but it doesn't seem to work like that.

Re: How are all the doodles coping with Bonfire night?
Leon doesn't seem bothered, despite there being a very loud display going on in the park up the road. We took him there earlier to look at the funfair which he thought was great, especially the life size toy dogs!

Re: My first negative comment
What a stupid woman! When I get the occasional raised eyebrow I always say that crossbreeds are generally healthier and the appalling health problems suffered by pedigree dogs mean I would never have one. I know how you feel though, it keeps going on in your head - I should have said this or that - ...

Re: What do you do with your doodle, when its wet!!!
Towels for us too, once we've found one as he likes to carry them around the house. Sometimes we take him onto the patio and wash the mud off his feet. He dries pretty quickly compared to our last dog, and doesn't smell very doggy even when wet. I think it is because he swims so much, and doesn't ha...

Such a lovely pair, I'm sure they will become the best of friends in time. Daisy looks a real livewire and Holly such a sweetie.

Re: Here is Leon
Thanks for the welcome, we think he's gorgeous of course, and everybody needs a dog don't they? He was quite smooth coated as a pup, with just some waves down the back so I'd say pretty much like Murphy, now he can get very curly after he's been in the water (which is pretty much daily!). He still d...

You poor things, it is horrid when our babies are ill like that. I hope all your efforts are effective quickly and the little boy gets more comfortable.

Here is Leon
Hi everyone I'm delighted to have found a forum full of labradoodles, they must be the most fun dogs ever. We decided to have one when we needed a new dog, we wanted a crossbreed and met a doodle in our local town who was so sweet and friendly that we knew it was the breed for us. He had also recent...

Re: Pet Passport Scheme
It is scary to think that you might be faced with problems like that, we have always said we would emigrate and stay in France with Leon if he wasn't allowed home. We have never had problems at pet passport control, but apparently several people do, according to the woman at the desk. She told us th...

Re: how do I get her to LEAVE on a walk??
Hi Angela, gosh that must have been scary. We used to have a lot of trouble with Leon picking up rubbish in the park, I thought we were going to have to muzzle him to stop it. The partial solution we found was to let him bring a toy on his walks, that way he was carrying something himself and not so...
