The person from LT has had a response, there have had loads of enquiries and are very stressed about what to do, we are waiting to hear their decision.

Re: The Dangers of Grass Seed.....Be Aware

Just read a FB post about a doodle who got a grass seed next to her anal gland, completely hidden and took 6 days to get out, very unpleasant.

Re: Mystery..Oscar ate the goldfish...

Goldfish can, and do, eat each other. So that is another possibility, I'm afraid all the options are less than positive for the missing fish.

Re: Dog friendly places to eat and drink

Kings Lynn - the Merchant House on South Quay, dogs made welcome, landlord has treats for them
Ringstead - the Gin Trap, owners do Great Dane rescue and dogs are welcome, lots of space for them
Hunstanton - the Beach Cafe, just a short walk from the Mariner. Only weekend opening in winter.

Re: Dooley

I'm so sorry to hear that, very distressing for all of you. As Bid says, mild HD can be managed well. It does seem strange that the "turns" seem to affect it, although maybe they just make him a bit disorientated and clumsy so it is more noticeable. Is it some kind of petit mal?

Re: Flea & Tick prevention

We've just had a long discussion with a French vet about tick treatments. Frontline will kill ticks which have attached themselves to the dog. Advantix stops the ticks attaching in the first place, a much better option IMHO, as I have spent the last few days finding and removing ticks from both dogs...

Re: The one and only Huggy Bear

Oh Linny, I'm so, so sorry to read this, Huggy was a legend in his own short lifetime. It is devastating that he should be taken at such a young age, my heart goes out to you all, and to Ambrose who must be lost without his best buddy. You gave Ambrose a wonderful life, and his personality is someth...

Re: Herbal tick repellant

Ours are on Green Dog complete food, which is supposed to control parasites via herbal ingredients. That said, they do get the occasional tick, not many though, and I've never seen fleas on them.
