Re: What do you feed your doodle?

Kibble: Orijen large breed puppy then onto orijen adult, acana, taste of the wild, millies wolfheart. These are all grain-free and he's been fine on all of them. Raw: Wolftucker, nutriment - these are mainly complete minces and cost more to feed than most other raw suppliers. It depends how you want...

Re: Goes mad when I run!

I found that I couldn't start jogging straightaway. We started at a slow walk, next fast walk for a while and then jog home. Everytime she bites the lead/is silly stop jogging and ignore her. :) I have to confess to not being able to be bothered jogging at the moment. I keep saying I'm going to do i...

Re: Natures Menu Raw & BitsnBobs.... and Local Butchers?

MVM sounds good and their prices seem very reasonable, but I just can't get my head around their delivery schedules and what it means  :? I would give them a ring if I were you. Looking at their schedule, our post code area doesn't feature at all, but when I rang them they said I would be on ...

Re: Ill after worming

Sharon-Tilly - I use Milbemax and haven't had any problems. What did you use?

Chocdog - I didn't know you could do this so easily. The wormcount company looks good. I think I might use them. Thanks.

Re: Scared the heck out of me

and I would hate for all the new puppy owners on here to read this advice and pop on the net, order an e collar and think a quick zap will train their dog to have 100% recall and then come on here and tell us their puppy freaked out so much when buzzed, tingled, zapped, shocked, however you want to ...

Re: Scared the heck out of me

I might be mistaken but I think an e-collar would be used in a training situation, at a very low level, not as a punishment for the dog running away. And I think that's how beeeerock uses his (beeeerock please correct me if I'm wrong). MandyG - glad Phoebe's ok. Who knows what she was thinking when ...

Re: Stout breaks his diet..

Kip loves his kong wobbler and we use it nearly everyday, well worth the money. He's never had blueberry muffins though, but I've got a feeling he'd like them too. :)

Re: Vent - lost my cool (bit long-winded)

This has been really good feedback for me, thanks everyone. When I was thinking back to "the encounter" I got to thinking about Kip's reactions and also remembered he was wearing his headcollar. I definitely think the restriction of the headcollar made things worse for him. I've been walking him on ...

Re: Vent - lost my cool (bit long-winded)

Thanks for replying everyone. Your posts helped me see reason. I took Kip out for his walk about 8.15 this morning and the first people we met were this lady (not a girl thank goodness) and her dog. So I approached her and asked if she was the lady I'd met last night. She said yes. At this point I a...

Re: Vent - lost my cool (bit long-winded)

I suppose I lost my cool when she implied it was my dog that wasn't friendly, when it was her dog that wouldn't leave mine alone and its body language wasn't friendly. We were on a public footpath, near a road and supermarket so I do think the onus was on her to have her dog under control. In hindsi...

Vent - lost my cool (bit long-winded)

I had a bit of a run-in tonight with another dog walker. It roughly went like this. I saw a woman with her dark greyhound/lurcher in front of me, on a badly lit path. So I waited for her to go. Kip was on his lead and we set off down the path. I didn't realise that she had turned around and was comi...
