Re: Water, Water, Everywhere... but not a drop to drink...

At one point Bodhi seemed to look up as if to say "Well come on then, help me  " When he's out on his walk does he ever stop for a moment or does he spring all the way? :)

Re: Update

I'm sure your puppy will be very well looked after and is certainly in the right place for tonight. Please don't beat yourself up about watching him, its impossible to do this 24 hours a day - he's a doodle puppy and he'll get up to mischief, unfortunately for him and you, he just got a bit carried ...

Re: Donkey doodle..

"You just need a saddle for him!" has been said to me on a few occasions when out and about, so maybe it could be statue as well as personality! :)

Re: Licking!

Better to have a licker than a nibbler. This sounds dodgy doesn't it but you know what I mean. I always see licking as a positive rather than a negative. :)

Re: 3 teenagers in the house

I do prefer the Dood teens to the human ones though....I couldn't go through that ever again     My teenagers (2 boys, 1 girl) complain that I have a lot more patience with the dog than them. This is probably true as the dog doesn't answer me back and always loves me. :)

Re: Whistle training

What about trying the treat, treat, treat method. Hard to do off-lead at first, but when you see a cyclist, use the word associated with treats, and treat. Whenever she looks at a cyclist do the same. The idea is after a while she will see a cyclist and look to you for a treat. Hopefully it will dis...

Think Kip was 18kg at 18 weeks. He's 26" high and about 32kg. He's an F2 labradoodle/goldendoodle.

Re: Article on Labradoodles in The Times today!

I live next to a lovely black lab. I always compare Kip to Horrid Henry and the black lab to Perfect Peter. Perfect Peter came like that and is a wonderful dog. Out of the two I would say that Horrid Henry picks up the training easier and quicker, but then thinks things through and decides he can do...

She was being a good girl and de-stuffing her toys and not your cushions! Sounds like it was a stress-relieving activity and she doesn't need to do it now. :)

Re: Article on Labradoodles in The Times today!

I could only read the first paragraph but it could have been describing my dog. I have come to accept and enjoy Kip's OTT approach to life, but I found the first couple of years very hard. Coincidently my OH and I were discussing how much we've learnt from having Kip, we do wish we could go back and...
