Re: Dog groomers in Staffordshire?

Hi there - I use Four Paws in Burslem. Christine is fantastic and does exactly what I ask even though she sometimes doesn't agree! Bob went on Thursday and I always ask for his head to be left longer and she tells me he's all out of proportion (she's a perfectionist) but that's how I like him!! Can'...

Re: Doods and cats

Haha Kittypickle! Peggy always has the upper hand when they're playing, even if her head is in Bob's mouth! I sometimes wonder if he realises she's not being quite as gentle as she should be! He's just a big dopey softy! They sleep together and he even lets her finish whats in his bowl once he's eat...

Re: Doods and cats

At last it worked! Peggy Sue came to us from a vets that my husband does some work for in October 2011. For the first 2 days (and I'm not exaggerating!) she hid under the chair while Bob tried to get her (all in fun I think!). Bob didn't eat for 48 hours and I thought I'd made a terrible mistake! We...

Doods and cats

There have been a few threads about doods and cats recently so I thought I'd share a pic of my two furries..............

Re: Names of your dog

When I was carrying our first born son we used to call bump Bobby (even though we didn't know the sex). I wanted to call him Bobby when he arrived but DH wouldn't entertain it (our surname is Beswick) so he became Owen. When carrying our second son (which we knew was a boy) I tried again to no avail...

Re: Poorly Casper :(

Poor Casper I don't post very often but Bob had similar troubles with his skin and it turned out he was allergic to chicken which was a nightmare for us both as he'd always been fed raw chicken (his digestive system loved it but his skin was awful!) He was prescribed ZD for a while and luckily for u...

Mucky beards....

Hi all and Merry Christmas to you! :P I've not posted for ages  but I could do with your advice..... When Bob was fed raw only we didn't have a problem with discolouration on his beard but since we changed to Orijen and raw lamb (he is allergic to chicken and beef doesn't suit him) he's got a ...

Re: Strangest thing eaten

Bob loves tea and when he was a pup our youngest (then about 3) poured a cold cup of tea into his play sand. Bob, not wanting it to go to waste  lapped it up with half a ton of sand! A trip to the vets and a day on a drip to force the sand out as it could have settled to the bottom of his sto...

Re: ANY GOOD READING MATERIAL??

Anything by David Baldacci or Nora Roberts - love their books. I've read all of David Baldacci's and one was made into a film starring Clint Eastwood (Absolute Power) but of course the novel was much better! I resisted reading Fifty Shades until a friend sent me the trilogy and I read them all in a ...

Food question

Hi all, sorry I've not posted for like forever  but I have been lurking and reading your posts. Some of you may remember that I was having massive problems with Bob's skin coming out in rash after rash and innumerable ear infections. Well, it turns out he's allergic to chicken (you were right ...

Help please! Hills ZD

Hi everyone Not been on here for a while but just to update you re Bobs problem skin. He's been suffering with skin and ear infections since this time last year. My vet has been fantastic so I can't complain but I'm at a bit of a loss. He's been taking antibiotics and antihistamines on and off all t...
