Re: Love my Doodle .....
Stuart, one of the dogs trained by Medical alert Dogs is used for pain. Its owner had an accident and has periods of terrible pain for which he needs morphine. If he gets an attack he is hospitalised for extended periods. The dog tells him he is GOING to have an attack (amazing) and if he takes morp...

Re: Love my Doodle .....
I think most dogs would be if they are very attached to you as their owner, if they are bright, calm and responsive to treat-based reward training. TBH, I wouldn't, now I know more about them, have chosen a doodle - they are SO bouncy, but Lola is an Aussie which is a bit calmer, usually. i didn't t...

Re: Love my Doodle .....
LOL! We went down to the coast to an some old friends' 30th wedding anniversary on Saturday - we stayed in a B&B, and the party was a dance with a live band. She danced on her hind legs on the dance floor, submitted to love form everyone, still did her service dog duties, and didn't turn a hair at b...

Re: Freak Accident
You might want to take her to a dog chiropractor if her neck was on one side in case her vertebrae were knocked out a bit... hope she's ok, what a shock!

Re: Teeth
Lola had one inciser that was left in - I tried everything, chews, soft chews, hard chews, games with her tug toys during which I practically yanked her head off, but nothing worked. She had to go in... they kept her under for as short a time as possible but she took 3 days to recover, and slept sol...

Yes. I think we all are - there is just something about a doodle. I picked Lola up just earlier and she cuddled me. A real cuddle, a paw curled over my arm and her head pressed in to me!

Re: 10 easy steps to a sleek soft coat for Bruno
Lola is only as big as a real doodle leg but I still have to strip to my bra to brush and groom and cut out her tangles.. I would never have thought it would be so strenuous - and she sits there like an angel!

This is true, she's only 5 - please pass it on to as many as possible. Here's hoping she gets back home.

Fab! She will go far! You need to get her a reflector, so she can make sure the dogs' eyes have highlights. They aren't that expensive. And are particularly good for getting side light onto black dogs' fur so it shows up their features.

Re: Easy Walk miracle harness!
Just to make a small point about this: "The Easy Walk is a unique corrective harness in the way it enables the owner to divert the dog's direction (a physically divertive method). Most corrective harnesses like this are aversive (creating a physical or psychological sensation the dog does not like) ...

Re: Easy Walk miracle harness!
The sled pulling thing is about harnesses which attach at the back - which, although it doesn't pull on the neck, does give the dog purchase to pull harder. It does need to be a harness with front attachment. Never heard of the sporn one, just off to have a look! Just had a look - it doesn't have a ...
