Re: Poodle or Labrador

I don't think the degree of poodliness has indicated anything with our two, either! Stan (F1) bit like a mini flat coat having a bad hair day, well, he had a liking for elastic as a puppy and went through three pairs of my shoes that had elastic straps and the odd bra strap if he could get his paws ...

Both the Riverside Inn at Aymestrey and the Stagg Inn in Titley allow dogs in both the rooms, and in the bar where you can eat (they also both do pretty good food, especially the Stagg which has a Michelin Star!). The Riverside is so dog friendly that they'll recommend walks in the area for you.

Re: Look what my daughter sent me.....

In this case, the Ianto of the book is obviously the Fox Terrier. After all, the black dood that looks just like your Ianto, Anne, could surely NEVER be described as a disobedient puppy!

Re: Aaarrghhh!....

Well, I have a similar ease of distinguishing doodle mischief myself these days - Stan takes a crafty sniff/lick of a cheese roll, George wolfs it down having delicately returned the slices of cucumber to the plate   Poor Wyre loosing his tea to Ianto! I do hope that a suitable alternati...

Re: Aaarrghhh!....

Oh, Ianto! You do know how to keep your mum on her toes! It's not wrong at all, Anne! In fact, I've probably done worse, and I shall let you into my guilty secret... ...Let's start by pointing out that we're good friends with our Vicar. A couple of years ago (pre-George days) our friend had t...

Re: 'Sproggy' has a name.....

What a gorgeous name, it suits him perfectly! I new you wouldn't let us down and give him a non-Welsh moniker! To be honest, I wish we'd thought of giving our two Welsh names. BUT, Stan had to be Stan because we had Ollie at the time. As for George, a friend said he looked like a George and i...

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous - many congratulations.

Come on though, Anne, we can't wait to hear the name! Iolo? Iestyn? Hywel? Ieuen? Ifan? Alwyn?

Re: Mud, glorious mud

We have two doodles who are like chalk and cheese  George is an F2, very fleecy, never sheds, but needs good grooming to avoid matting. He also gathers seeds/sticky buds/mud and takes a long time to dry off after a swim! In contrast, Stan is an F1 mini who has quite a hard wavy coat. He sheds v...

Re: who has other kinds of pets

We have four chickens (if they count) - Ginger, a 4-year-old Warren, and then three youngsters - Clara, a Light Sussex, Nugget, an Amber Star, and our Bluebelle who rejoices in the name of Atilla the Hen (Tilly for short). They've met Stan and George and happily share the garden with them. Touch woo...

We've lugged our two round in everything from a Ford Fusion to a Toyota Rav4. They've happily shared the boot in both of these, in a Skoda Fabia Estate, a Passat Estate, a Golf hatchback, a friend's Hyundai i40 and now my Golf Estate!

Re: Manchester Dogs Home

Absolutely awful - what kind of person does this?

They're really up against it at Manchester Dogs' Home. We had Ollie from them, nearly 11 years ago now, and even then they had over 300 dogs a week passing through the home. The staff must be devastated
