Re: Acid Reflux?

Hi. Stout also suffers. He has ibd and is very grain/rice/potato sensitive so we feed him raw food. We feed him 3 times a day. Breakfast at 8, tea at 7ish and supper at 10. He used to wake up with a grumbly tum that we thought was his ibd but discovered he was just hungry, so he now gets 250g for br...

Re: Stout is 7

He has definitely been playing up to the 'but is my birthday' thing. He refused point blank to come in from the garden earlier, a treat waved under the nose was not high value enough, he only moved when there was a bit of cheese offered, he then barked to be let out, Chris let him out he then turned...

Stout is 7

Hi everyone. Not been on for a while, i have been poorly, but can see the light at the end of the tunnel :D Anyway, our little fluff ball is 7 today :D . So far he has had breakfast in bed, then a lie in with his dad while I went to tai chi. He has just been to the garden centre and his favourite pe...

Re: Toooooo Hot!!

Stout has been wearing his cooling coat all day, Chris has been squirting it throughout the day to make sure it stays wet. I had a hospital appointment on Monday so we left his coat on the tiled floor in the kitchen, for some reason he wouldn't go anywhere near it! We were worried about leaving it o...

Re: Has anyone else tried Golden paste on their doodle ?

I have just come back from the brewery and made a batch for stout (he seems to be bunny hopping and walking a bit stiffer) and chris (he got shigella on holiday and has developed reactive arthritis as a result). They both had some with tea today. Fingers crossed!

Re: Trust me I'm a vet BBC2

We had all kinds of problems with vets and feeding stout raw. When he was really ill the vet at the royal vet college said he couldn't possibly have a balanced diet on raw. He put stout on some awful kibble that it was quite obviously he couldn't digest. We eventually compromised on a wet food. Our ...

Re: labrador to a labradoodle

Hi. Sorry to hear about George. I must say that the description reminds me of stout! Stout has a fleece coat, and he looses little tumble weeds of fur, but also fine angora type fur that is a pain to hoover up. He doesn't mault a lot but still does. He goes to the groomer every 8 weeks and the occas...

Re: Problems with food change

Hi! We had issues with stout and kibbles - it was far worse on adult food. We gave up and swapped to wet food then raw. We eventually discovered he has inflammatory bowel disease. Dry poos aren't necessarily a problem, wet poos are more of an issue. Just a thought, does she eat her food quickly? Als...

Re: Raw or Kibble

We also changed Stout straight over. I would just say re Luna and Me, I placed an order over a week ago that still hasn't turned up, I have just phoned to say they had run out (would have been nice to have been told, my emails have been ignored) so I wont get Stouts food until Tuesday (sadly he runs...

Re: Raw or Kibble

Hi. We have fed Stout raw since he was 9 months, we have recently swapped from natural instinct to luna and me. The luna and me is far less smelly they also do patties which may get round the texture issue. Stout has inflammatory bowel disease, we have had vets who are dismissive of raw. Stout was v...

Re: Pampered Pooch

Dont tell stout for goodness sake! We have a stupid corner bath where the ends are too small to fit human shoulders in, and it is really deep so takes ages to fill, and the water gets cold really quickly, but it has a seat in the corner bit, so stout is the only one in our house who can have a bath,...

Re: Puppy Toilet Training advice

Hello! We didn't use puppy pads with stout. We made a note of the times he did wees and poos to work out if there was a pattern, if say, there was 20 minutes between wees we would take him outside at 18 minutes. We had a very lovely piece of paper on our freezer showing the times! We used an enzyme ...

Re: K9 raw freeze dried?

Yes Stout is having turkey but the dinners rather than the patties (we need to add in his probiotic powder). We always struggle in the caravan if we are away for more than a week, the whole fridge and little freezer end up full of stout food! Hope you get a plan in place!

Re: K9 raw freeze dried?

Hi! we did try stout on a freeze dried raw, but it was expensive so didn't persevere with it. How long do the packs stay frozen for I wonder in the polystyrene boxes? I know natural instinct stay frozen for at least a day (after an order mid up!) so you may be ok for a few days! Is he ok with wet fo...
