Stout wasn't convinced with his first try, second attempt was a lot more successful!

Stout the honey monster!

First a quick recap: Stout was watching me putting honey on my muesli. So we checked and apparently honey is good for digestive problems in dogs and also itchy ears. For the last 3 weeks he has had a spoon a day. So far so good....... Tonight he decided to bark and we thought he wanted to go out. Wh...

Re: Sleeping doodles

Stout's normal weekday routine is get up a 8, have breakfast, lounge on sofa or go back to bed, go to the park at 9 for an hour, then off to work for a hard day sleeping under the desk. Wake up just before 6 prod dads elbow to go home. Get home run around a bit, have dinner, play/ demand fuss until ...

Re: Cooling mats?

I fill the kitchen sink up with water then dunk stouts coat in there and leave it to soak for a bit. If he is going into the garden I don't wring it out much at all, if he is going to the park before work squish the excess water out then into a carrier bag. He doesn't wear it if he is playing with h...

Re: locked in caravan.

Stout loves the caravan, we store it away from home, when he realises where he is going he starts wagging and barking. We have just changed ours, we have only used the new one for one night. I don't think he was too pleased that his old den under the bed at the front had gone, we ended up taking a p...

Re: Cooling mats?

All I can say is I wish my Lulu had a cooling mat/coat last year at doodlefest - so I am watching the weather very closely. Anyone selling those sort of things at doodle fest last year would have made a killing! We just got stout a new one, his road refresher one was starting to rip, it did well to...

Re: Cooling mats?

Thanks for the replies. The " expensive" mat you bought for stout, have you been able to compare it against any of the cheaper ones? Just wonder if it was made of thicker material and less likely to puncture from dog's nail. I had never given a cooling coat any thought, can imagine it would provoke...

Re: locked in caravan.

Thanks for the warning. We don't usually leave stout either, but last time we were away we were in our friends awning next to our caravan, stout was really restless and barking, he kept trying to get into their caravan, Chris took him for a wee, stout then went and stood at the door of our van. Chri...

Re: Cooling mats?

I brought stout one of the expensive cooling mats, but stout being stout won't go near it. He did put a paw on it once, but that is as close as it got  . He is happy to wear a cooling coat and they seem to work really well

Re: Stout is 5 today!

The turkey neck was a hit and the bone is being munched. He even got to take his favourite teddy out into the back garden which is usually not allowed. He had fun at the park this morning with his doggy pals, for some reason they decided it would be a laugh to dig up the centre spot of the football ...

Stout is 5 today!

Hello everybody! It is our little monsters birthday today :D . I am such a bad doodle mum I have only just realised :( . So a turkey neck and bone have just been dug out of the freezer and are hastily defrosting in the sink  . He is not home from work yet, so I am warming up my tickling finger...

Re: Concerned about standard doodles size.

Stout was 2.5kg when we picked him up at 7.5 weeks, we didn't realise at the time that he was under weight. He was on james welbeloved. He is 5 years old in a couple of weeks and is 30 - 32 kg and 24 inches. We did the same as you and kept track of his weight, he got to the point where he was puttin...
