How did you carry your pup to socialise + avoid long walks

Hi, So I know the idea of limiting lead walking and long walks until the bones have matured, but could I ask how people have carried their pups while tying to socialise them, or carry them on longer walks once they've done their 10 mins. I was wondering if anyone has had any success modifying an old...

Re: Anyone got hedgehogs? or parrots and parakeets?

Thanks for all your advice. Dylan (our hand reared Senegal) has met cats and a small yappy dog, he is interested by them but not bothered. He is able to fly, but doesn't really see the point, he knows if he sits on top of his cage staring at us for long enough he will get a lift  He then gets ...

Re: Doodle puppies and exercise - how much and when?

We live in a town house so to get to the lounge you have to go up stairs. He'll be sleeping in the lounge in a crate so will need to go downstairs to go to the loo in the back garden. I was planning on carrying him to up and down stairs to start off with anyway. We have doors to stop him being able ...

Doodle puppies and exercise - how much and when?

We're picking up our doodle this weekend but I was wondering about exercise. Obviously we have to be careful that we don't allow him to come into contact with areas where unvaccinated dogs have been until his vaccinations have taken effect. However, I'm also aware that carrying him around places wil...

Anyone got hedgehogs? or parrots and parakeets?

We're picking up Stout the labradoodle in just over a week. We have at least 5 hedgehogs in the garden and feed them hedgehog food in a specialised feeding station (homemade from a storage crate to keep out next door's cats!). Does anyone else have hedgehogs in their garden and have any tips in how ...

Introducing Stout the doodle

We're looking forward to picking up Stout the black labradoodle. Currently 5 weeks old. We went to see the litter at 3 1/2 weeks and couldn't resist taking some piccies. Admittedly the piccies are of the 3 male puppies, since at that age their characters hadn't yet come out and all their distinguish...
