Re: Stout belly

Glad to hear it is not just stout! He never leaves anything in his bowl. I was woken at 7:30 this morning - but he did have an early tea yesterday. He used to have lunch, but now prefers to sleep through it instead  . He is currently on a diet, so has had his food reduced, which doesn't help! ...

Re: Anal Glands

The poor things  Stout has had a couple of infections, mainly when his belly is bad so his poo is softer than normal. One of his friends is currently having problems too, so I am not much help but will be interested in any advice

Stout belly

In the last couple of weeks, stout has been waking at 7 with a grumbly tum. I have been giving him half his breakfast which seems to calm it down. We have now decided to give him 100g of food for supper at 10 so hopefully he doesn't wake up hungry. Which got me wondering if any other doodles have su...

Re: Doodle Seizures

Hi Poor Doogle, and poor you, its really scary when it happens Stout had a 'funny turn' last Christmas - it wasn't a seizure as such - but he went to stand and couldn't and was staring into space and was completely unresponsive, after a few minutes he was back to normal. We took him to the vet who d...

Re: Grrrrrrr Fireworks

We had a display quite near us yesterday. We made sure the telly was loud and there was a loud radio on in the kitchen. He seems healed enough for his thundershirt thankfully and we had a pet remedy plug in going and had sprayed around the house. He was better than the last couple of years, he was j...

Re: Nail clipping?

Stout hates us touching his feet, we try to touch them when he is by us, he will tolerate it for a bit then he pulls away. Our groomed trims them. He doesn't walk on hard ground very often. We also have to trim our parakeet claws which is a military operation, one has to hold and one make them open ...

Re: Poorly Stout

Thanks everyone :D . He is better today, and seems to have his appetite back. He had a spoonful of honey last night and so far the antibiotics have stayed down, so fingers crossed he will be ok with these ones. He is wearing his cone of shame when we are not keeping an eye on him. It is a huge one, ...
