Re: confused puppy

Yep, we've had Effie do it too! Large soft toys and cushions seem to set her off and we just remove them. I didn't think girl dogs did it either so I was quite surprised. I also wonder if its a 'nerve' thing because if you tickle her tummy it sometimes sets one of her legs off even though she's lyin...

Mobile Groomers in Norfolk?

Can anyone recommend a mobile groomers in Norfolk? I would like the groomer to come to the house so Effie doesn't get worried about being left in a strange place for her first cut. She is getting little matted bits on her tummy and on the top of her head and however much I brush they won't come out ...

Re: Jackson and our update....

I was so sorry to hear of all your problems with Jackson... I'm afraid there's not much I can say to help apart from I think you're doing everything you possibly can to sort the situation out and that's all you can do. Hopefully, with time, training and patience he will calm down. Perhaps there are ...

Re: How often

I'm usually on a few times a day! I saw this post this morning and was a bit reluctant to be honest about the number of times I log on 'just to have a quick look'. Luckily it now appears that I'm not the only one :D and I feel much better... I think this is a brilliant website. So much inform...

Re: I have to have a rant - I'm really upset now

Please don't be upset... I don't know why some people with dogs react like this! I think you did exactly the right thing and say you'll report her for kicking a puppy. People like that need standing up to... Doodles are such friendly dogs, if a little exuberant at times and if she's so worried about...

Re: Feeding time and amounts

Hi there, I just thought I'd tell you what I do with Effie... She is now 5 months old so pretty close in age to yours. I come downstairs at about 7.30 ish and she gets let outside. When she comes back in she has her breakfast and then goes outside again as having food seems to stimulate going to the...

Re: Hello

Hi there! I felt I had to respond to your message because I lost my springer spaniel Molly 3 years ago. I know EXACTLY what you mean when you say you couldn't have another springer because you keep seeing your old dog in them... That so hit home with me because, even today, it still gives me a jolt ...

When is a puppy not a puppy?

I went to the pet stores today to get some more Naturediet puppy/junior. They hadn't got any and said there was a problem with delivery (something to do with the packaging or something...) Anyway, they had some Nature:menu but only for adult dogs. The flavours looked tasty and the chap there said it...

Re: Your opinions please

I used to have a springer spaniel before we got Effie and I think a springer is far more work! I think if you can cope with 4 children, a large house and garden I think you'll be fine with a labradoodle! They do take a bit of work but you probably won't notice it as I imagine you're pretty busy alre...

Re: Crate, Pen or Kitchen

We tried a pen in the utility room but Effie hated it and got very agitated so we now have a baby gate from the utility room into the kitchen. She sleeps in the utility room and that is where she goes when we have to go out. She has her bed, water bowl, a few chewy toys and of course some newspaper ...

Re: Travel Sickness - very bad drooling!

Dear All, Thank you so much for all your comments and helpful advice. I will be putting it all into action. We live in Norfolk and I want to be able to take her up to Wells beach which is a half hour journey but I think we'll have to build up to that. We live in the country so we tend to go for walk...
