Re: Agreement for advertisers

"wildly off topic" ??? For which you, Carole, must take some responsibility ! Perhaps if you devoted your precious time to your own breed, the Standard Poodle, as oppose to a breed such as the Labradoodle, which you don't actually approve of, the SP may not have the long list of potential hea...

Re: Agreement for advertisers

Totally agree with you Katie, Juliette and Woolly. :D My little bichon has been fab with any litters we have had - never been a mum herself - but once the dam is happy for her to spend time with the little pups she does .... Some breeders around here - doodle and poodle - are so far up their own bac...

Re: How long do you sleep beside the whelping box?

4 weeks with a large doodle litter.

3 weeks with a small (2 pups) cavalier litter ... cav's make fantastic mums ... both my st poodles could be a bit clumsy - easy to understand when they had around 12 pups to take care of.

Re: spaying advice please

Bitches usually have seasons that are not completely regular, but 12 weeks from the first day of season is a safe indicator of "anoestrus" (no heat)the term used to describe the safe period between seasons when there is no activity of the ovaries and it is safest to spey. Anoestrus typically starts...

Not the nicest of dogs - in terms of temperament - and can be rather quarrelsome with other dogs.

Re: Our First New litter of Blues???

I'm puzzled, Sharon, didn't you totally condemn another breeder advertising a litter to a 15 month old bitch? :? :? Would you mate a 12 month old bitch, yourself? scary that you know my previous posts so well. For your information (although I don't see why I should have to explain myself to...

i wouldn't worry about the 4 legged bitch's, it's the 2 legged ones that have learnt to write that seem to have problems. good luck with your pups, i think they are lovely.

Re: Our First New litter of Blues???

May i ask then why do so many people on their websites have ooodle of pictures of their doodles with kids and family? I understand what you are saying as some people get friends kids just to stand with the pups and say "used to kids" when in fact it's probably only the first time they have ever met...

Re: Our First New litter of Blues???

A seven page free breeder advert for a litter to a very young bitch, doesn't that make you think, Mark? This kind of thing harms your breed, everyone loves pictures of puppies and it is all too easy to sell puppies with such exposure. High prices, very limited health testing, none of this matters o...
