Think we've had our first 'Doodle Dash'!

It was hysterical! She started by thundering round the kitchen draging a rucksack with her, then when I thought she had calmed down I started cleaning, this just made it all the more exciting for Pippin, she was barking at and attacking the hoover, she found a small handheld brush and went mad...

Re: Peeing and pooing in crate - is this normal!!!??????????????

How's it going today barneydood? We had a couple of bad days with Pippin when the kids got her really over-excited and I felt like we were constantly wiping the floor, I find a huge difference in the days when the kids are at School and the weekends when it comes to accidents. When I have her on my ...

Re: Farting Doodle!

Hi amber, as far as I am aware her worming is up to date, we are pretty much taking our lead from the vet (we are first time dog owners) and showed the vet the documentation from the the breeder at our last visit and she was happy with the date of the last worming. She has been a bit loose about the...

Re: Any advice after our first night?

Ahh, she's lovely. We had a few bad nights with Pippin at first and a friend who has had labradors all her life recommended similar to HelandMark, a hot water bottle wrapped in a blanket and a ticking clock, at first my husband said "no way" but after a couple more disturbed nights we gave it a try ...

Re: DIY Grooming-am I mad?

If you are having classes then great! I have a friend who has a Hungarian Puli (the ones with the dreadlocks), for whatever reason she decided not to take her to the groomers and her hair became a matted mess, at this point instead of taking her to the groomers she decided to cut her dog's hair, now...

Re: crates

We bought the big one too, partly because as first time dog owners our breeder told us to get a crate and it didn't occur to us that the crate might only be a short term thing, I only found that out reading this website, however I still wouldn't want to take any chances and am glad we got the big on...

Re: Can any FIFE doodle owners recommend boarding kennels?

Sorry, I should have mentioned the name, it is Blairadam in Kelty, looks amazing, still have to visit. I have since been speaking to my Mum on the phone and she is desperate to have Pippin when we are away in May, I can't make up my mind whether this is the best idea or not. However it has occurred ...

Re: Furious!

I understand Mightdoodle, I've got two boys and I certainly have lost the rag with them at times, and it's always worse if stressed or depressed. Sounds like you are a good friend to her. Glad to hear Bailey is venturing outside again, hopefully she will have forgotten all about the fireworks come t...

Re: Farting Doodle!

Ah, I've just been looking and see that it is a 'wet' food, I really would prefer her to have dried, I think I would have a similar problem to your son with the smell, I wonder if I should just be looking at a different dried food, many on this site recommend Burns but I can only get that mail order...

Re: Farting Doodle!

Darn! I've just stocked up on the stuff as well! :P I'll have a look into the foods you have recommended RubyTuesday, I really wanted something I could buy locally but if it means we can't breathe then ordering food on the internet is a small inconvenience.

Re: Furious!

:( Sorry, I know you said you are "semi-friends with them" but she sounds horrible, shouting and swearing at her one year old and then the fireworks incident. Poor Bailey, I hope she gets over her experience soon.

Farting Doodle!

Pippin is currently lying at my feet attempting to gas me out of my own home. She has had collitis and has been back on normal food (JWB dried) for about 5 days now, is this just her tummy settling or do we need to order gas masks?

Re: Peeing and pooing in crate - is this normal!!!??????????????

Chin-up Barneydood, I think this puppy business is a 'one step forward, two steps back sort of thing', all the piddling will be a distant memory in a few weeks time. Do you have hard wipeable floors?
