Some perspective on recent events

Post by Adam Lindley » 11 Sep 2009, 21:59

Whilst the lynch mob from this forum have been focussing on events in Victoria...

On a different scale altogether. Do you think this doesn't happen in the UK?

It is sad and it is bad but light must be shed onto the subject and words like "lynch mob" puts blame on those presenting the truth and takes the blame away from the abusers. There is no reality in the lynching but the abuse is real.

Don't you agree Adam?

The key word is perspective.

The lynch mob reference is nothing to do with the rights or wrongs of the cause, just the manner in which it is carried out.

The perspective that needs to be borne in mind is the huge contrast in the love and care that Bella is receiving tonight delivering her puppies, to the putrid (to quote an eye witness) conditions and complete lack of empathy facing the breeding bitches at Rutland Manor.

Absolutely. I was only thinking the very same thought myself.

:? This and other doodle forums are loaded with links just like that one, and lots of our members are fighting this kind of cruelty right here in the UK. I'm not sure what point is being made here either. :?

All cruelty to animals is abhorrent and totally unacceptable. The degree of cruelty is not the issue.

It is scarcely surprising that a website devoted to labradoodles should be particularly concerned with the welfare of that breed. This does not mean that people are unaware of or do not care about the appalling exploitation and wicked treatment of animals worldwide.

Cruelty is cruelty Adam ..no matter where in the world it's happening!
Do you think that we are all so naive that we need you to point it out ?

We are privileged to have the facilities of the www and this opens a window on cruelty and neglect.
It's only by public debate that the truths or untruths become apparent.
The Labradoodle is of interest to us all that post here and we owe it to the dogs to bring to the fore any hint of wrongdoing
Where better to publicly discuss and debate these issues than on a site dedicated to the health and well being of Labradoodles.
It gives everyone the right of question and reply.
It was never a witch hunt and there is no lynch mob :x
