Do Doodles like/hate the rain

Post by Bean » 16 Feb 2007, 15:38

Bean has just poo'd on the dining room carpet. 10 mins after coming in from the garden. Does she not like going in the rain? dont suppose I would either...... but do your dogs not like to go out in the rain?

My bichon hated wet grass, but then was a little madam!! Is it just Bean or do other Doodles hate getting wet in the rain and just enjoy throwing themselves in ponds?

When Maizee was a little pup she hated the rain , but now(12 months) she would sit it out in it all day , I have to shout her in , she doesn't sit by the door wanting to come in.
She has always loved having a paddle in the stream though . :D
Even in this cold icy weather we been having she still paddles in it .
Mind you she dosn't stay in for long

You are right some never do and i think Gunner is one of them, he has cocked his leg twice only and couldn't get the hang of it as he sort of kept walking as he peeeed with his leg half up.
The vet said he would cock before a year (Gunner, not the vet) but nope @ 15months now i don't think he will
Our little Toy Poodle cocked from day 1. :D Image

OMG Scruff as well, choccy Dood thing i reckon

No unfortunately Chester isn't, not that we know of, they may all share a non-cocking ancestor somewhere along the line :D

I know the feeling.

Magic loves the rain (the hail, the snow and anything else really), but she is now known as The Undertaker, as she keeps trying to bury her soft toys, and always comes in from the garden with a dirty nose.
