We're coming to the NF Show Hooray!!

Post by susiet » 13 Jun 2010, 18:05

Think we'll be able to make the New Forest Labradoodle Show now so sooo excited! :D Just got to sort out some accomodation.

Just wanted to know: What time does it start?
Are there separate classes for standard and miniature doods?
Can you just pay for separate classes as you go on the day?
Is there car parking available?
Is there a schedule available to have a browse through on the forum?

I can't wait to meet everyones lovely doodles!! Though Flo isn't looking her most attractive at the mo to say the least as she's just had a very severe clip. Will there be a class for shorn sheep lookalikes?!!!!

Brilliant! I can't answer many of your questions - I know you can enter the classes on the day - I know that cos I will be one of the people taking entries, and there will be loads of parking available. I'm sure Pam will be along soon with answers to the rest :D

Could i ask how do we know which F version Murphy is? we didnt buy him from a labradoodle breeder so had no idea about this.

His Dad was an F1 Kimberlaines labradoodle brother to top gear dog and graham nortons doodle, His Mum was a pure bred black labrador. Help im presuming F1 but im not sure?

Murphy will be an F1b - that's an F1 labradoodle back-crossed with a lab :D , so I think he will qualify for class 4. I'm not sure why F1s have been singled out, I would have thought classes for backcrosses and ASDs would have been a good idea if they are having categories of doodles, since they are both quite different to the other doodles :?

Susie, apologies for delay and I have answered your questions in red.

Just wanted to know: What time does it start? Gate opens 10am....first class at 11am
Are there separate classes for standard and miniature doods? Class list is on this thread
Can you just pay for separate classes as you go on the day? Yep
Is there car parking available? Yes, car parking is at one end of the field. Parking is free. Entrance to show is £2 adult and £1 child/oap
Is there a schedule available to have a browse through on the forum? Not really a schedule, but refreshments...including veggie food, yippee!, stalls, Labradoodle Trust merchandise, polos, fleeces and baseball caps (in limited numbers) and a Have a Go Obstacle Course.

There will be directions to the showground posted soon.

Anymore questions, please ask.

Bid, it was a bit selfish as well  because I would like to eat....we can both have lunch now. :D

This will be baked potato with various fillings and they also do fantastic organic drinks...yummy!!!

We also have a burger van doing the 'normal' burgers, cheeseburgers, chips etc and hot and cold drinks.

Now, for pudding you could choose a cake from the Labradoodle Trust stall, kindly made by our volunteer bakers or a scrumptious New Forest Ice Cream....or maybe even both!

Pam can you make your directions DizzyDora proof please
:D We have just had confirmation on our campsite booking :D
We will be able to make it this year if I can sort out the car park
directions correctly.

 We will be in the New Forest area from 1st July so plenty of time for a
dry run so to speak!
