thanks for posting.....just goes to show that they can train successfully

Huggy is really biddable but I think a person could starve with him as a guide dog

Hi Linny Love your photo of Buffy & Spike,can understand getting them groomed at this time
of year,as temperatures must be getting quite high.My sister lives at Avoca Beach,and we
have visited and done Sydney and Whitsunday Islands,what a wonderful country!!!.

Wow, Jonnie looks like Charlie!

Not long after we got Charlie last year, I met a lady in the supermarket with a 5 month old black labradoodle "guide dog puppy in training". He was gorgeous! We eneded up having a long chat, she was the foster Mum, working with the Guide Dog Association trainer. It was her job to socialise, teach general obedience, and introduce him to all the different situations and settings he will be in eventually.

She asked me where we got Charlie, as she loved him so much, she wanted her own Labradoodle

She said that there were a couple of others in training, which had been donated to the Association. I wonder how he is going.

Coincidentally, we are leaving at the crack of dawn tomorrow to go down to Busselton (about 2.5 hrs drive) to collect our son, who has been away on his "Leavers' Week", having just finished his Yr 12 exams. Wonder if we'll see Jonnie

Not sure why, but that brought tears to my eyes ... especially the pic of him with Monika (so proud of his status ... and rightly so) and then lying on the floor ... all with a sense of purpose and dignity .... happy tears i have to say ..... still streaming so will sign off before the web page gets wet
