But surely the midlands would be central? We drove to Norwich from where we are and it took about 6 hours with loo stops and we had to go round the M25, something we try and avoid at all costs... 6 hours is too long in the car for me!

Liz

I think there are two Catton Parks.

Info from Facebook is:

The 2011 LABRADOODLE TRUST SHOW will be held on JULY 2nd at CATTON PARK, CATTON, SWADLINCOTE, SOUTH DERBYSHIRE, DE12 8LN

Is Derbyshire better for you?

It is in the Midlands, Liz. It's near Birmingham.

Just looked up on route planner. It'll take me 2hrs to get there, so it's do-able.

Is there a website where I can read about it?

Jane If I choose my time right I can go from here to Southampton in under 3 hours,I go there and back in a day.
If I could help or answer any questions ,just ask.
Do you camp?
There are some hotels locally.
If you (or anyone else)wants to combine another local attraction with the show Ide dog sit on fri or sun.
Does any of this help?
The WHITE SWAN PUB at Walton on Trent (on line) is the nearest I can think of,they do all day food.

Course you can! I did (although I borrowed a niece to help) :D

It's too far for us this year though - Daisy gets very worked up if a journey is more than an hour so it wouldn't be fair on her.

According to the RAC it's about 2 and a half hours away from north Somerset Liz, but over 4hrs from me so I wouldn't take the dogs that far.

For the stragglers who can't make Derbyshire/Birmingham we are thinking about a Devon Diehards Meet at Exeter then. Lots of grass and fields to bounce over, a river to splash about in and a great dog friendly pub afterwards. Look up the Double Locks Exeter to get the idea.

There are some people heading for Cornwall from 'oop north' so will miss the show so Exeter would be the most handy point. It's also about an hour or so for Bid.

The only problem might be that a Saturday in July would be changeover day for those of us with holiday lets or travelling to lets but I am sure there would be a way round it so our lovely Doodles get a chance to bounce together anyway.
