Tilly's weight ....

Post by tillytubbie » 06 May 2011, 18:53

A few months back at 41.5kg

Now at 37.3kg!!

Not that much of a visible difference (I can see. Spech when she's running!) But it has made a change; in terms of her energy and zest for life!!
My ideal goal for her is still 32-33kg, but realistically 35kg!!

She's really concentrating on her swimming isn't she!

Congratulations on the weight loss :D

The vet and I both say she's never going to be tiny as she is a big girl; but I have recently been doing a lot of gentle trotting next to the bike with her. This has built her muscles up tremendously! No joke - I was playing tug with her the other day and she is sooo strong now!!
We're at 15-20 min now with the bike. I normally do 5 min trot; 3 min gallop, 5 min canter :?:  and then trot the rest. She loves it! She also ignores everything when next to the bike, other dogs, people, squirrels, cats - completely focused on moving forward and my commands! (left, right, quick, slow)

It was taken at the Hydrotherapy pool we go to once a fortnight :) She will do anything to get her ball - including diving! It's great fun for both of us!

Hi. I'm fairly new to the forum so not up to speed with all the dogs!
Just wanted to say well done and congratulations on the weight loss. Could do with some of that myself
Can I ask how you introduced the bike to Tilly? Do you keep her on her leash as you cycle? Sorry if these questions seem dim
