We went to Hinchingbrooke's "Pets in the Park" today

Post by blueboysgirl » 29 May 2011, 17:41

........and Bruno won FIRST prize in the "waggiest tail" :D and SECOND prize for the fastest recall

Apart from that, there was a demonstration from some hearing dogs, PAT dogs were there, a bird sanctuary was there with their owls, parent and child relay racing, stalls, face painting, ferret racing, dog intelligence competition, several raffle/tombolas and "prettiest bitch" and "handsomest dog" (we entered in that but the judges must've needed their guide dogs with them as he didn't get anything  )

Just thought I'd share in my pride, my boy came away with a FIRST!!! And still in shock about the recall competition. The winner won by a tenth of a second over us!!!! :P And we had our photo taken for the local paper.

Here he is with his FIRST rosette. We won a huge Kong biscuit ball and a big tube of doggy shortbread biscuits.

I know!!!!! They put him on a long line, got me to stand the other end of the arena and call him. The timer started when the person let go of his collar. I was REALLY nervous, but he belted it up to me and actually skidded past me and had to turn around to come back to me as he was going so fast!!!!

Who would of thought it eh?!!
