Stout on holiday in Devon - part 1

Post by stout » 29 May 2011, 20:45

So we're back in Reading from our holiday in Devon. Stout loved it in the caravan and slept until 9 or 10 am which was a big improvement on the 6 or 7 am he'd been doing at home.

We did some walking on the North Devon Coast path from our base in Watermouth - here is Stout giving a cheesy grin en route...

Stout went on a steam train ride Minehead for 3 hours.... and got a bit bored:

Found some places to hide:

Here he is posing by the train...

He particularly enjoyed insisting that he could only go to the loo when we scaled the steep slope to the upper part of the campsite. Mind you the view was grrrrreat! You can see the caravan we were staying in:

The beach at Combe Martin had a cove the dogs could go on... well there were no signs on the route down to it, unlike the other beach which had lots of signs... he had a great time and met some new friends....

The classic doodle sleeping pose...

Found a new favourite place to sleep - under the bed:

Went for a swim in the river at watersmeet:

Although did end up with a new nose decoration:

I'll do another post with his antics at Croyde - that'll be part 2.....
Cheers,

He really had a great time - no wonder he slept in most mornings.

Looks like he had a great caravan holiday

herbie loves going away in our small touring van " the father ted "
he's really looking forward to our trip down to Cornwall in September. He had a great time there last year and the beach is dog friendly so he gets to do his thing without me and the hippie being arrested

I'm off to read part 2 8)
