JUST AN OZZY UPDATE..Sorry it's been so long :-)

Post by xxLouxx » 26 Jul 2011, 13:54

Hi
Hope everyone and their doods are having a great summer. It's been AGES since I've been on the site! Mainly because we have been having so much fun over the summer with our pup Ozzy (now 19 weeks!) who I introduced some 2 months ago.

Since bringing Ozzy home, he has added a completely different dimension to our family unit! He has settled in extremely well and is just one laid back dood  We all LOVE him to pieces as do all our family and friends. He appears very well socialised and extremely tolerant of all the children who come to play with my 2 sons.

We took him to 'puppy socialisation' classes for a short 4 week course and are waiting on obedience classes starting at the end of August. So far we have trained him to 'sit', 'lie down' and 'wait' (even if we throw his favourite toy!) however I'm struggling with the 're-call' when out walks as he goes a bit 'nuts' when he see's other dogs or humans. He just wants to play  . Hoping the training classes in August will help with this.

We recently returned from a fantastic 10 days holiday in Norfolk. Being a 7.5 hour drive from where we stay in Scotland, we were a little nervous re: how Ozzy would be in the car but we needn't have worried as he was a star!

Anyway thought I should check in and update those of you who were exceptionally helpful to me regarding giving advice & answering my 100's of questions before Ozzy's arrival. Ive added (hopefully!) some pics of our recent holiday with Ozzy.

It truly is the best thing we have ever done as a family... xxx

Ooh! What a little cutey Ozzy is. Super family photos. Ozzy sounds very clever. Don't worry about the recall as yet. It's just the Doodle thing when they spy other dogs. Yeah! lets play   Glad you had a lovely holiday and Ozzy travelled well. That's one big hurdle overcome. What a clever wee chappie. Fortunately we are the same with Treacle. She just loves the car. Pick up the car keys and she is there before you. You are NOT going anywhere without ME   Keep the photos coming.

Hi ecojude, yes we got OZzy from a terrific breeder of Australian labradoodles in Scotland --'Tora labradoodles'. Best thing we ever did!
I still can't get enough of all your doodle pics

WHat a briliant update - so glad Ozzy has fitted in like that. He is a stunning doodle - keep the photos coming as he grows up as it's going to be fab seeing how he turns out. :D
