Stouts lucky day

Post by stout » 21 Sep 2011, 20:31

Stout is back to his normal self after his trip to the vet on Monday :D . I popped to the butcher in town to pick up a bone or two. The nice young Polish man was in there who gave me four HUGE bones. I ended up having to bring my audit case home to carry them as they weighed a ton. He is currently tucking into the smallest (couldn't fit into his freezer  ), which weighs 1.5 kg. His eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw it  . Even better he didn't charge me
Cheers,

Chris, Michelle & Stout

Lucky Stout! :P :P

And lucky you having a good local butcher to supply the bones! Our butcher never has bones, I think they buy their meat in ready butchered. REAL butchers are, sadly, declining. :(

Glad to hear Stout is much better and enjoying his bone :D

Our local butcher doesn't charge but has a charity box for donations.

We are really lucky that we have three proper butchers nearby that all do bones, and really good steaks, coz we always feel guilty just getting stout a bone

Lucky Stout! We also have 2 brilliant butchers who give us bones free but I always go in to buy something - think I'd feel a bit cheeky just asking for a bone!! I know what you mean about the weight though, sometimes I'm exhausted carrying them home....the things we do for our dogs!
