Hi all,
Been away for a few weeks but went back to flyball this morning with Pixie and thought she would be a bit rusty - but she was brilliant and got staright back into it - as the pictures show !! The first one is her racing over the jumps to the box and the second is her activating the spring loaded box and turning for the return run. This is like a relay race between two sets of dogs. She is the only non-collie on this team !!

Hi Brucey
I started her gently at 9 months but she couldn't really start proper big-girl training until she was 1 year.
She has a relly strong focus on retrieving balls which helped as she picked it up really well but if Brucey has even a little liking it can be cultivated.
I don't think 3 is too old at all - especially doodles have boundless energy.
Its just really good fun and it tires her out too which is a bonus. She loves meeting up with her team mates and she is fabulous at activating the box and turning really quickly.
check out you tube for a better view of flyball in general - it is kind of noisy !!!.
PM me if you want to know more

Hi there
I had a quick look at 'Flyball edinburgh' and it shoed a couple of links to agility.
Have a look on line and I'm sure you will find something to suit
Or have a look at the British Flyball Association website (BFA)
I have done a quick taster session of agility with pixie and she loved it and I may do some more later as flyball and agility don't easily mix.
Have fun
