Still looking for suitable cottage in Pembrokeshire

Post by Cococabana » 18 Jul 2013, 23:23

For you lucky people who live near to the coast, wonder whether you could advise about somewhere to stay - 2 adults, 1 child and 1 doodle? Stayed on a caravan park at Dinas last year, not really ideal as dog not allowed off lead on site; lots of tethering to caravan when we were in  Love the beaches in the area especially Poppit Sands! Any advice please? Will ring tourist board in the morning, but just wondered whether anyone had any ideas please?

We went to a lovely very dog friendly cottage about 20 - 30 minute drive from Poppit sands. http://www.stallionvalley.com/. Not only is your own garden safe for the dogs, there is an exercise area where they can run around with more space. There is a dog poo wormery for landmines and the cottages are very well set up for dogs with stone floors in the cottages (well the one that we stayed in anyway) so no worries about messy paws. There is a pub within walking distance that we went for a meal in that allows dogs in the bar area.

Poppit sands is of course fantastic and I'm trying to find the details of the campsite that is next to the car park, overlooking the beach. I just can't find it on the Internet but would love to stay there as that was the favourite part of the holiday for Fozzie - running on the beach and swimming in the sea :D :D

Don't know if this is of any use - owned by my neighbours. I've never been there.
