Formby

Post by Teddiedoodles » 26 Apr 2014, 17:03

I am thinking of taking Ted to Formby tomorrow for his first beach outing. Does anybody know if dogs are allowed off lead there and any tips for parking etc...

Hi, Formby is great for dogs, we often go.

My advice would be to arrive early as it starts to get busy around lunchtime.

Parking unless you have an NT card is £5, there are toilets, a coffee van and usually an ice cream van.

Parking is past the long track and it opens into a large car park just next to the dune to go to the beach.

Take poo bags, fresh water with you and towels as your doodle may vomit in the car if they have drunk a lot of sea water!! You will also need to clean the sand out if his eyes too.

Enjoy x

Can't wait to see what he is like in the sea. He is like a magnet to water :D

Im lucky to live on Queens Prom Bispham across road from a very quiet beach (far enough away from the madness of Blackpool) so its a daily jaunt for Poppy.. Went to Formby a few times but find sand a bit too soft it gets everywhere lol.. Pic was great glad he enjoyed himself xxx
