Brilliant Home Waiting For A Labradoodle!

Post by Katy789 » 02 Oct 2006, 16:42

We have recently lost Charlie (A Labradoodle) to cancer. :( He was approximatly 17, we got him from a rescue centre 14 1/2 years ago. When we first got him he walked through the door ate a pound of lurpak, and weed on the sofa, and made him-self at home. Ever since that day he had never been any trouble at all. We also have another Labradoodle called Douglas, who also came from a rescue centre 6 1/2 years ago, he's 12 1/2 now. Douglas used to love nibbling Charlie's ears and since our big brown bear is no longer with us, it seems the spark has gone out of Douglas. But not only out of Douglas, but all of us. Douglas seems to be pining alot and also my father is. My father spent many happy hours sat outside toad watching by our pond with Charlie. We miss him so much. We would love to adopt another labradoodle, we are not bothered about whether it's male or female, what colour it is, or what generation it is. PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP??

-We are willing to travel. (DISTANCE NO OBJECT)
-We live in a big house in the countryside with lots of lovely walks on our doorstep!

Oh Katy
what a sad loss but sounds like you are all fantastic and gave Charlie the best home ever, god bless him.
There was a 12 month choccy Doodle in adtrader looking for a new home, don't know if he is still available and they weren't exactly giving him away.
If interested check it out.Just put labradoodle in the key word and his is the top ad, Scooby is his name and he is in Cornwall. Good Luck :)

Oh thank you Gunner. Well yes my mum and dad have found that labradoodle called scooby, but this ones in stoke-on-trent! Wonder if its the same one? My dad rang last night and they are giving everyone a chance so basically there not giving there dog to anyone unsuitable. And they did say they would ring back last night. Unfortunatly they havn't, but my dad is ringing tonight to see wether it is still there. Thank you for replying and i hope to find a post with someone who has a labradoodle for re-homing! Thanks Katy xxx :D

Katy,

I have just spoken with Scooby's owner - I bred him (stoke-on-trent Scooby!) and I think she will ring you tonight ... so fingers crossed. :D

Hi Katy,

I hope things work out well for you.
I've been thinking about Scooby since reading about him on here a couple of days ago and hoping he gets a good home.
It would be great to hear a happy ending :D :D

Gosh WOW! A few posts there lol! Well yes i hope scooby goes to a great home whether its ours or someone else's. I would really love to have another dog around the house...since charlie went it seems theres no noise or anything anymore. I used to get home from school and he would always be there sat barking and wagging his tail at me. Well that will never happen again. At the moment im looking through pictures of charlie now with my dad im hoping to post a few pics of douglas and charlie on here, maybe tonight or tomorrow. Charlie was a smooth coated labradoodle and douglas is a fleece labradoodle so you can really tell the difference! Anyway i will speak soon probably i will post again tonight! Thanks Katy!
