SITE BOYCOTT
There has been much discussion and consternation over the last few months concerning the ethics of certain individuals who remain in the Breeders List, despite many
requests to have them removed.
I propose that from Monday 21st January 2008, those of us who have voiced our concerns on the forum, boycott the same by making no postings until something is done about the "breeders" in question.

Re: SITE BOYCOTT
I totally agree, but we should perhaps also boycott clicking on any of the commercial links from the site.
My puppy came from a puppy farmer that advertises here and presents themselves as a loving family breeder.

I agree, and late on Sunday I will post my own personal boycott thread. I suggest we all do the same
ALWAYS visit the premises and see mum with pup. There are no excuses!

Yep here here.
But not meaning to barge in but can we please have a note of other doodle websites like doodle times so newbies or those that desperately need advice or whatever know where to go.
Just I know the ADVICE and company of this site has been great the past couple of months and in an emergency or someone at the end of ther teather with a problem I wouldn't like to think of as being on their own with no where to go.
So any chance??? Pleasssse

Re: SITE BOYCOTT
I assume that to have any effect, we all have to boycott at the same time.
Carole, I note that you mentioned Sunday, so do we all do the same on Sunday evening?...ie: post our intentions, PM Mark with a link to our post, then cease using the site from midnight Sunday to midnight Monday

Re: SITE BOYCOTT
The puppy finder in its entirety has to go, Mark simply does not know who is reputable and we cant expect him to. Unless the breeders agree to the standards set out in the Agreement for Advertisers which received heavy backing on this site then no advertising should be permitted at all. If there is sufficient evidence that the agreement is broken then their free advert would simply be removed.
Yes, I think 24hours to get his attention would be best to start with. Individual boycott threads from midnight Sunday to midnight Monday would have more impact with the pm sent to link. What does everone else think?

I did mean threads THAT we would boycott, not threads during the boycott! Can't edit any longer
Boycotts could get longer and stronger if no action.

Re: SITE BOYCOTT
I for one am all for it but would very much like a list, a name and shame list stickied when anyone comes to the forum.
Considering people looking for Labradoodles come here I think it's essential to know who to avoid. If you Google "Labradoodle forum" this site it the first site that pops up.
Edited to add: even if a list isn't possible there should be a sticky on the very first page asking any prospectve doodlers to PM or e-mail someone who is willing to comment on certain breeders or willing to direct them in the direction of someone who may know more abut the breeder.
I for one would love to add my name to that list. I'd happily defend and extol the virtues of Mabels breeders with every breath in my body.

Re: SITE BOYCOTT
Totally agreed although to be honest I don't post that often, I'm in the process of getting a pup hopefully if we make the grade from Lisa, but wondered if there was anyway a list of non-approved breeders could be listed, as well as approved???? It has certainly been a learning curve for us as a family to hear there is so much puppy farming going on.

Re: SITE BOYCOTT
Can I suggest that we keep bumping the boycott threads throughout the day? Anyone looking at the forum will see a wall of boycott threads before any others.
