Nelson 10 Month Black Male Doodle In Need Of A New Home

Post by mrshallsy » 27 Feb 2011, 21:02

Hi, I have a 10 month old black male labradoodle, called Nelson, in need of a new home. I am having to return to full time work, and reluctantly have to find him a new home. He is fun loving and very affectionate, he loves nothing better than millions of kisses and cuddles, he loves a really good long walk and especially a race to get his favourite frisbee! He is house trained, fully vaccinated and wormed (needs next lot in march). He walks on his halte collar fine, and doesnt pull with it, he can be abit bouncy and sometimes if he gets very excited jumps up. He still needs a little training with sit, down etc. He gets it most of the time. He would best suit a family with either older or no children, a new family that can pay him lots of attention as he doesnt like being left on his own for more than a couple of hours. He is my best friend and I will be very sad to see him go, but I think it will be best for him.

Many Thanks

Tiffany

This forum is not a free advertisement for people trying to sell there dogs. :!: :!:

If i had to give my dog up i would not have him for sale on Pets 4 homes.

When i first read your post, i felt sad that another puppy was being re-homed again.
I happened to stumble across your ad whilst just checking no-one was trying to sell Lily the lost Labradoodle and now I'm just dam right fuming.

If you have Nelson's best interests at heart, give him to the Labradoodle Trust. They will endeavour to foster him and assess his needs with a view to finding his perfect forever home.

EXCUSE ME!! Who do you think you are!!

I am desperatly trying to do the right thing by finding him a loving new home, not just dumping him like most people would! I posted on here thinking that nice people woud be able to offer me some kind advice as to the best way of finding him a new loving home! Im outraged that YOU would send such NASTY VILE words to me! I sincerly hope that you have a heart and understand my reasons for letting him go. Not that I need your approval!

Maybe some anger management classes wouldnt go a miss??

I comtact the trust almost a week ago and have yet to recieve a reply. I dont really want him to go into a foster home, I would prefer him to go straight to a new home, so not to cause him too much stress, moving house to house. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Perhaps this lady has come to this site in the hope that she might find a suitable home for her dog?
He may well be advertised for sale elsewhere but I see no mention of money in her ad .?
She's stated plainly why she needs to rehome and so perhaps we should direct her to the Trust or there might be someone on here wanting another companion dog.
This site is a breed site so perhaps the first port of call if you found yourself having to rehome.
A lot of dogs have found good homes via this site. :)

I completely understand that. It's just I am looking for another dog the same age as mine, or older, male, but I have a 4yr old and a 5yr old.
Now Bruno's certainly no calm angel, he will still wrestle with them and they love it!!
I'd like to know before I committed myself, that the dog would be just bouncy and friendly, rather than not socialised with younger kids?

Ignoring the grief you got and the suggestion that you should give your dog to an organisation will sell him on; maybe a little more detail such as location would be useful. That way, those of us who are either looking to give a dog a home or may know someone can genuinely help.

Im big enough to apologize, i have no idea when your ad made me so angry. Of cause i have a heart as like i said you first post made me feel sad. I jumped to conclusions and thought you were just looking for free advertising space after stumbling across you ad on pets 4 homes. By reading your future posts and i can see that is not the case and hope Nelson finds the loving home you are looking for.

I'm sorry but I personally find your suggestion that The Labradoodle Trust is a profit making organisation offensive. The Trust spends a fortune in time, love and money on the dogs in it's care and they are all thoroughly assessed before being rehomed. The prospective new owners are also vetted to try an ensure the dogs are homed to suitable forever homes and don't have the mis-fortune of being passed from home to home or even worse to a puppy farmer as is the fate of too many dogs listed in the small ads.

I really hope Nelson finds a loving home and I can promise you the dogs settle really well in foster homes.

Precisely why I've stayed away from the UKLA for a few days.

Nobody can say anything without being shot down.

Sorry for you situation, I truthfully believe the Labradoodle Trust is the way forward, but if this suggests giving your dog to nothing more than a profit making livestock shop, I'm obviously very deluded.
