Poppy is a wonderful, fun dog who loves other dogs and children. She is a playful, energetic dog that needs plenty of exercise. She is fully house trained, never destructive in the house and knows basic commands. She has a fleecy coat, which is very very low shedding, but would not suit an allergy sufferer as my friend is allergic to her. She is a fairly large doodle, tall slim built. She has been spade so no breeding homes. I feel that Poppy should go to a home where there will be someone about alot ie. doesn't work or works part time. I would love it if she could go to a home where there is another dog or children, or both.
I feel that Poppy needs a home with experienced owners or owners will to invest in further training. I took her on at 7 months old, she was an unsold puppy from a breeder and lived in a kennel alone until then. I have spent a lot of time training her and she is coming along nicely. She just has one or two quirks: she is terrible with cats; she can be nervous around men but once familiar with them she is fine; she also lacks social skills with dogs we see on walks, she tends to get over excited and run at them full pelt, this usually results in the dog being bowled over and hurt or poppy being attacked. It's not an aggressive tendency in any way, it's just her lacking social skills due to her start in life and being over excited. This is why I say she could do with further training. She also barks a lot if left in the garden, but can be left in the house for up to 6 hours or so.
She really is a very special girl with a big heart and deserves the best home possible, I am in no rush to rehome her and plan to wait until the right home comes. She is very well bred, from screened parents and I have her records. I live in Coventry. If you have any further questions please pm me or if you want photos. Please understand that I want to ensure she gets the best possible home though so will ask lots of questions and I would want to visit the home where she would be living to check suitability. I would also like any potential owners to come for a walk so they can experience her over ecxitedness first hand. Thanks
