This doodle has 5 days left!

Post by Bid » 07 Apr 2013, 12:33

Remember Angel? The doodle in the pound in Ireland? There is another doodle in the same pound :( He is 18 months - 2 years old - very friendly, and was taken to the pound as he is too strong to walk. The team that rescued Angel are working to get him out before his deadline and bring him over to England and are hoping to arrange a short term foster, but he will need a home when he gets here. Anyone looking for a lovely young male doodle?

Just to be clear ,for those folks that may not know about Angel, these dogs in the Pound get 5 days shelter only and then are destroyed.
Be they healthy pets or not.

The lucky ones are taken by the various rescues in the area. Like everywhere the rescues in Ireland are struggling as are full and due lack of funding.

:( Poor boy.
Thanks for posting this Bid.
Wishing the rescue team well, nothing is final until they have the dog in their care.

Surely someone needs a fab looking cream doodle boy??

I just can't. 18 yr old cat and small house. Husband would not consider it. It is so upsetting though. He looks one gorgeous dog! I would so love to be able to say yes.

Thanks Clare.

I will keep you posted of what happens, and if anyone is interested let me know and I'll put you in touch with the lovely lady who is doing her utmost to bring him over.

Great :D
Keeping fingers crossed and sending positive vibes ...but perhaps should be sending some funds too. :? He will need to be vaccinated and possibly kenneling paid before he gets to England.

Hearbreaking .. Its not the best reason to give a dog up pulling on lead can be sorted by taking the time and teaching him not to pull... knowing he would be put to sleep after 5 days is inhuman xxx

Everything crossed for him and I hope he gets a happy forever home just like Angel :D

It was mentioned earlier, is there a fund set up anywhere for him to help with his foster care etc?

I think financial help may be needed if he isn't yet neutered, and if so I will find out how we can contribute. Many thanks for the offers of help, and to Cate who has offered to foster him if need be.
