Seeking a Labradoodle family member - Got one now Thanks !

Post by Clamy Paws » 26 Nov 2006, 11:12

We collected Hugo on Sunday, Hi]ugo is a Black F! and he is lovely and fitting in fine with the family.
Thanks for the messages everyone - Happy Christmas

Our family has had dogs as members for over 20 years. We are looking for a Labradoodle as the newest member. We do not necessarily need or want a puppy and are open minded on age and colour. We live in a rural village and our house backs straight onto open fields. We have 2 older children ( 16 & 18) we also spend time at our caraven in Wales and the dogs love the Beach and "Surf Bum" lifestyle.
We have Dreyfus, a GSP ( pointer), so understand the quirkes and challenges that a lively spirited young dog brings. His friend and long term pal Kato ( Vizla) has ben poorly for a number of months now and the Vet agrees he is not likley to see the year out as he is at the maximum drugs dosage and still dteroriating. We are trying to plan ahead and manage what will be a sad time for Dreyfus and us.
I hope from above you can see we would provide a loving and active dog friendly home to any Puppy or Dog. We can pay - a sensible price- but must be sure we are doing the right thing for the right Dog/ Puppy.
Look forward to hearing of opportunities.
Andrew & Jackie.

Hi Ellendili,

Hugo and Dreyfus are getting on really well.

Kato was pit to sleep on Wednesday last. At home, in front of the fire with his family around him. Very Sad, but so the right thing to do.
Hugo is a great comfort ,and distraction, to us all.
We will be sprinkling Katos ashes over Porthamdog beach when we next go - he loved it there and we can always visit him there in future.

Thanks for your kind wishes and have a fab Christamas break,

Aah , so glad Kato went in the best possible way, at home in peace. He lived to great age and the wonderful thing was, he was loved so much.
ALWAYS visit the premises and see mum with pup. There are no excuses!

I am so sorry to hear about Kato :( , but I am sure Hugo will keep you occupied, and give you plenty of joy :) , and probably not to much rest.

What a lovely thought about putting his ashes in a place that he loved, and somewhere you will always want to rush back to.

This is Hugo's first Christmas with you, so have a really great time, although it may be tinged with sadness, remember the joy Kato gave you and the love you shared, and the friendship he shared with Hugo and Dreyfus.

Best Wishes
Jenny
