We need to replace our door mats and I was wondering what other people use to try to keep down the mud that the dogs bring into the house?
As we live in the country and Colin is a mud magnet, we get a lot of mud!

I would like something that is washable for inside.

Any ideas or suggestions?

They look very good. I must invest in one. Trixie still has her little accidents and I am in need of a couple of new mats

Hug Rug - bit pricey but worth every penny, we'd tried about 4 other rugs before getting this, it is really, really good.

I can't rave about there enough: http://www.turtlemat.co.uk/default.aspx

They are worth their weight in gold and they have many more designs than some of the other dirt catching brands. I was a bit sceptical at first but after getting one with a voucher we had I went on the buy a few more. They really do stop dirt in its tracks. I've also washed them a dozen times each and they don't fade, shrink or deterioriate at all.

My love affair with our mats continues

This post made me think that we could do with a dirt-busting mat. We have an old claw-footed bath outside which was nicely planted up with herbs and foliage. Douglas's latest trip is to jump onto it and have a good dig (he's desecrated the herbs....) and stand there like a stag at bay before trailing loads of soil in through the dog flap. Sigh. Anyway the point of this story is that at 4pm yesterday I ordered one of those JML mats from the link posted and it arrived this morning! So there is such a thing as service after all!
