Can anyone help a pony in need of a home?

You can use this area for idle or not so idle chat that is not related to Labradoodles as long as you keep it free of flame wars and anything obscene.

Can anyone help a pony in need of a home?

Post by linny » 23 Feb 2012, 01:06

Please click on my link if you can help a very small pony called Herbie.
Herbie will be shot at the weekend if no home is found for him.
He's a registered Dartmoor pony from the Sherberton line, but due to his castration going wrong he is now a Rig.
He needs a home with geldings only.
Please feel free to cross post his details or contact me if you can offer a home.

He still has one testicle in his abdomen Bid so he has the physical appearance of a gelding but behaves like a stallion.

Thanks Nicky but sadly the owner of Herbie has tried many rescue centers but they are as we are...... full
I normally take up to twenty horses and ponies but we have 23 at the moment and a waiting list so can't help this pony :( :(

My contact has said she will be emailing you today - they can't offer a perm home, but should be able to help with some rehab to make him more homeable.
