Can I ask for your support please.

You can use this area for idle or not so idle chat that is not related to Labradoodles as long as you keep it free of flame wars and anything obscene.

Can I ask for your support please.

Post by gilly g » 02 Feb 2014, 20:43

Some of you may have read a post I made a couple of years ago: lovely friends went to a do just before Christmas in 2011, stayed overnight, but when they got home the following morning, they lived their worst ever nightmare: They found their 19 year old son dead by the back door. He had been out for a run (very fit) but collapsed and died.

My friends have very actively fund raised for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and have recently been nominated for an award by St Johns Ambulance: Every Day Heroes, for promoting saving lives by screening, defibrillators and first aid. Their hard work has been recognised and they are now in the final three. It would be a massive achievement to win this award in Sam's memory, so if you have a minute, can I ask that you vote for " The Frieinds of Sam Wright Committee"

Thank You.

Have voted.

I really hope that your friends are successful.

Having a fit 17 year old (who has just gone out to watch the superbowl with his friends as he has just passed his driving test, which terrifies me) it is something that I think about and I totally support the work that these people do in the respect of screening and fundraising for sudden unexplained death.
