Please help my little girl

Post by Harvey's Mum » 23 Mar 2014, 09:21

Hi all,

I hope this is not breaking any forum rules. Apologies if it is.

Last night, Matilda my 9 year old asked me something that broke my heart. She asked me if she could have her hair cut off to donate it to a child with cancer.

The Little Princess Trust make real hair wigs for children with cancer. After a lot of nagging from Matilda I have agreed to let her do this. She actually wanted to have it all shaved off but I agreed a compromise and when she has raised £500 on her Just Giving page she will have it cut short.

Matilda's page can be found here https://www.justgiving.com/Matilda-Guest. Please donate if you can, or if you are unable to please feel free to share on Facebook/social media etc.

Here is a photo of Matilda with her hair as it is now.

If you can find it in your hearts to support her it will make her day.

Thank you

Linda

Thanks peeps. And thank you Jay for your kind donation. I can't believe that it has gone from an idea last night to her having raised over £200 already!

Yes I'll post a photo on here. The mummy in me was hoping it would be a while before she hit her target but it looks like we'll be booking a hairdresser soon

Thanks

Linda

You can increase the target! I did when raising money with Lola.

Good luck, Matilda, what a lovely thing to do.

Done. It'll soon grow back, Linda... And if it's any consolation, your daughter's loving gift will help another Mummy's child feel happier and more comfortable at a stressful time in their life. What a wonderful thing to do :D

Donation made. Well done to your wonderful daughter, you must be so proud of her. She will look beautiful with or without her hair as she is obviously a kind and compassionate little girl and her inner beauty willl shine through. Good on you Matilda, you're a little star. What a absolutely worthwhile cause too. I look forward to seeing the new haircut :P .
