I knows... it's mine, but the OH has to chop it into bite-sized bits for me, cos Anne is a bit of a wuss when it comes to my raw din-dins... I fink she should keeps a better eye on wots in that fridge though... yon carrot looks like it might be as old as me...!

  After a brief "This does not commute!" moment, my brain did run through the possibilities of it being a tiny Alien 'face-hugger'... (or maybe the one in the straw boater that dances across the bar in 'Space Balls'...) but then I thought it was some kind of lizard...
The truth was a bit of a let-down, tbh... but I had to grab my camera as it made me laugh so much. I've forbidden the OH from composting it! He seems happy in there, the little chap.

Did you ever see that Star Trek movie where the bad guys dropped an alien bug into the good guy's ears to make him do their bidding?

Oooh, when I was at college I'd often find bags of carrot slime in the back of my food cupboard. I'd buy a couple with the good intentions of getting at least one of my five a day then forget about them! They reduce to gooey mucous slime after a few weeks/months at room temperature - I'd recommend keeping your new friend in the fridge to keep his rather cute form! :D

MandyG,
The DD said, "This is Ceti Alpha 5!!" when I showed it to her... (Good ol' Ricardo Montablan... his was a superior intellect  )
Niandsa,
I feel quite fond of the little guy now... he's quietly mummifying on the lower shelf. Of course, I blame the OH for letting it happen...
